Thanks for Giving
I'm definitely a little upset with myself that my last post was near when Rupa was leaving, when she came back for a month and then when she left again. It's been nearly six months, and it seems like with her absence, my taste for food has faltered. But Thanksgiving is only two days away, and what better time to post then a holiday centered directly around food? I mean seriously, one cannot blame Americans for being fat when we just have an entire day, not a meal, a DAY devoted to eating. I remember in college, I would run to put on my elasticized waist pants on the morning of Thanksgiving, to allow as much as would possibly go in my belly to go in and stay in.
But back to the months that have since passed. I want to record memorable meals from June 26 until now, November 21.
I RAN THE MARATHON. Which means that there was a lot of pasta eating done before that. My pre-marathon meal was at Sapore, where I partook in the Spaghetti Rustici, a fail-safe before a race concoction of spaghetti, capers, olives and fresh tomatoes. But now I need to figure out HOW to get back into the groove of eating. Not that I need any help. But remembering how to enjoy it. I think it won't be too difficult!
